I have been out of the passion for the last year but trying to get back into it and its a pain i can't find any banks with coin counters or bank bags. I can take my coins to my Bank of America and put them in a plastic bag and they send them off to Brinks to get counted and I don't have any fee. But I am looking to actually have my own banks where i can drop off my coins and then have a bank that has their own coin sorter inwhich i can use them to pick up bags of pennies (not in the boxes striaght from brinks)

I live in west county/stcharles and if anyone knows of actually branch names or credit unions locally that have their own coin counters that would be nice. I knew of a few Region Banks that use to have their own sorters but they replaced them by now using Brinks.

~Thanks

Hey sportsdude that is a heck of a sorter on utube. I live in Southern Illinois. My dump bank has a lobby coin counter which I use on an average of twice a week. I get my pennies from other branches in town. The banks here are really nice. I just wanted to welcome you back, and give a little info happy sorting.

What are the names of the branches that have lobby coin counters by you? Fifth Third Bank, First Bank, Bannk of America, etc...could you tell me the branch name then i could locally look at those branches by me for coin counters. Or is it a local credit union that as the lobby counter?

I have not look at any credit unions by me or other Bank of Americas etc past 10 miles from me and have no problem searching out those banks out.

The bank that has the coin counter in my town is a local bank. However they are the only bank in town that has the lobby counter. And believe me it gets used alot. If it was't my dump bank, I would be buying the bags. Being a small town though everyone is very nice, like cheers everyone knows your name.

I live somewhere in the st Louis area. The Clayton branch of Commerce Bank will accept unrolled coins as deposits only. I deposited $324 worth of nickels not too long ago and only got 321 and change deposited. So either their machine is miss counting, my rolls I originally recieved were short, or someone took a pocket full of nickels.

I'm on the west side of the state.

Go the credit union route. Join several. I have the best luck receiving and dumping at them. Good lock.

Deal

Live free or die.
Plain and simple.

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your council or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."
