I just got this thought from another thread and was wondering how many people have Mothers that help them acquire coin. My mom does. She is actually my biggest supporter and started sorting all her spare change again, which is kind of a bummer because I used to be able to sort it. But I think its cool. She finds more silver than I do. She has much better bank connections than I do.

| Both my mom and dad have searched for me in the past. They live in Houston and will ask for halves if they drop by a bank. They have found me some nice stuff in the past. |

My parents would save all their change and let me go through it before they took it to the bank. They always used to give me all their pennies which was sort of a mini-allowance. I opened a junior savings account because of that...
When I was in college, my dad would stuff a bank full of change and give it to me every time it got full.
I'm in my 30's now, and they still save their change, which I go through for coppers. etc. when I visit.
My mom also saves tons of quarters because their church has a thing where people give laundry baskets, detergent, fabric softener, and rolls of quarters to single moms who need help with laundry. |

| My mom and dad started my interest in coins. My mom and I still talk about coins every time I see her (each weekend). |

I am almost 15 and my dad is intrested in the hobby so he doesnt mind going around to banks with me. But him working full time and not getting home till 6 or 7 PM each night he can't drive me much and all banks by me close their lobby at 4 PM and open on Saturdays till 11 AM (but parents like to sleep in late) so my dad doesnt mind helping out when he can but on the other hand....
My mother gets extremly ignored when i ask her to drive me around but she is starting to work almost full time (since i am older and got siblings college ++ ) so i don't really got a ride any where causing the hobby to slip out of my hands. My mom gets an off day on tuesday or so every other week and can only get her to tae me for coins telling her that dad is really upset me to the point of seeing yellowed at me since i have no money in the bank and its all laying around the house. So then my mom finally takes me around to return all the coins and get one stpuidd box every other week.
^^^ Thats my story off how this hobby is slipping away from me. (so all summer i had to be stuck playing video games instead of looking at coins....such a waste of time.. so twenty years from now my xbox 360 will be put in a box next to my sega and all my other systems laying in the attic instead of having all my wheaties, indian heads, and copper bars laying in a trophy case in my dinning room. LOL) |
My Penny sorter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MlXGWdyzPU (have not messed around with it and need new way to feed the coins - looking for ideas so post on video)

SportsDude1325, If you get together 100 dollars, Im sure you could get a forum member to ship you "raw unsearched coin" for 100$. If someone is willing to ship you the coin, I would be willing to pick up the shipping on an order so you have something to keep you busy. |

| OR get a bike and a backpack. Balance should not be a problem but posture might be. If you bank is not too far away you should be ok. I have 2 banks less than a mile away from me, but I also live in a fairly small town. |

| My Mom sorts all of her change for me. I taught her what to look for. My soon to be Mother In-law gives me all of her change to look through. I don't know what it is, but I seem for find the best stuff from them. Silver, buff nickel and wheeties. |

Count me in. If he comes up with the money I have the coin. Bags or boxes, whatever he prefers. You have the shipping, he is good to go.
Let me know.
To the topic. My parents let me go through their coin. My girlfriend's mom holds coin for me at the credit union she works at. That is the only credit union I go into that I do not belong to.
