I went to a local branch of a national bank and they told me that the manager decided to only sell individuals $100 worth of halves.
They said it costs them money to order them and then it is unfair to other customers who request them (how many times have you walked into a bank asking for halves to be told they just sold them to someone else...plenty)
I know it is not an official bank policy because another branch in my city will order me $1k a week.
I don't think I am going to get them to budge on the $100 policy. Would it be better just to make them a dump bank?

Oh I forgot to say that this was not a policy until I started requesting them.
For the last couple of weeks, I went in and bought whatever they had. They even offered to buy me my own box so that the other box that comes in could be used for other customers.
Then they came out with the $100 policy. |

| You bet! What they do not realize is that they will now have more than plenty with your dumps to obligue other customers with their $100+ requests for halves. Fight the power! |

I have a bank that was my main bank because my checks are direct deposit there and all of my accounts are there.
I have never asked them for anything until I had a garage sale then I asked them for 10 rolls of quarters, 5 rolls of dimes. 4 rolls of nickles to make change for the sale.
they asked what do you need that for?
I thought they were joking.
I said to have some money in my pocket so I could pay cash for a while.
they said we don`t normally let customers have that much change.
I laughed and said come on I`am in a hurry. they told me I would have to see the branch manager.
then I saw they were not joking.
I went in the managers office with another customer in there and said excuse me but I need change and I can`t get it.
the manager turned blood red and said to the other customer would you excuse me for a minute.
the manager came out and said what do you need the change for?
I said do I need an excuse to get my own money the way I want it?
I was mad enough to chew nails.
I got the change after the teller told the her what it was for.
I have never ask for anything there and they have been my bank for 19 years.
I`am trying to get my direct deposit sent to another bank now but it takes time.
if you think that is bad no bank here will order halves for me.
I have a teller friend ask if they would order for her and her boss told her no, she said they will never come back here.
he said no.
Banks are bad news here. |

been there before, dump on them like the dollar is going out of style. Just be nice and polite 
[Beau]...dude that is not cool. I would have been on the phone to the district manager in a heartbeat. I would have escalated that until I spoke to the CEO. Its like you said, IT'S YOUR MONEY. |

Even ask if they will accept bagged coins and bring them 4-5 1k bags at a time. I am sure all the other halves searchers will love them for having a constant supply of halves. Dump hard, dump often. |
