Why bother having food storage?
Last year India had food production shortages due to lack of monsoons, Brazil also had shortfalls. This year its Russia and perhaps China as well. Imagine a perfect storm where multiple continents suffer from production disasters, fuel shortages, economic collapse etc.
Who will "give" you food? Who "owes" you your daily bread? Do you believe that you are "entitled" to food?

Prepare now or accept the consequences-

The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; second is war. Both bring a temporary (and false) prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunities.

You hit the nail on the head, Jon. Unfortunately, too many people feel like they ARE entitled. Stock up and lay low when the going gets tough. I'd hate to be one of thousands in the bread lines WTSHTF who spent their money on crap they didn't need instead of stocking up on food while they could.

anyone want to trade a brand new 50 HDTV for a two-week supply of food? One week? Three days? How hungry are you?

Hoard now and hold on!

How much nutrition do you think there is in an HDTV? I'll stick with spending my money on stuff that will keep me alive.

Thanks Chad. Like anything else, most sheeple won't think about what they should have spent their money instead of all that waste until "One second after".

As for the HDTV...among other things, if fully digested, you will find some trace elements ;-)
