Can someone point me to a site that shows the silver content for British Virgin Islands $20 silver coins? I have an opportunity to buy some: Queen Elizabeth II, British Virgin Island $20 dollar silver coins, 1985.
I think they are sterling silver, but I not sure; nor do I know how much they weigh. Thanks!

World Coin Gallery is a very good site for looking up World Coins. It gives value and PM content for a large number of coins, |
Are you throwing that out? |

The silver content for these is .5677 TrOz. That is the total silver content of the alloy, in each coin.
I got 16 coins, so that is 9.0832 Ag TrOz and paid $80.00, paying $8.807 per Ag TrOz
Spot that at that time was $18.47 for .999 Ag, so the value of the transaction was $167.766, creating an unrealized profit of $87.766.
I enjoy buying Ag at 47.685% of spot.
The seller was happy to get $80, so it was a win-win. |
