Nice find. A well-written comprehensive article. However, when I hear about silver at over $1000 an ounce near term, I think dollar collapse. Here, the question won't be how many dollars will buy an ounce of silver, but how many gallons of gas an ounce of silver will buy.
BTW what kind of name is Bix? |

Sure, dollar collapse would have alot to do with it, but silver... based on it's own fundamentals, has the potential to near $100 an ounce without the need for hyperinflation. I'm still picking up silver every chance I get... and if the manipulations every came to a halt it would be verrrry interesting to watch how high and how fast silver would climb. I think even the precious metals optimists would be impressed. |

The thing is (and not sure if would have ENOUGH impact or not) but....
If silver hits $50 an ounce, everyone AND THEIR DOG will be selling and scraping any silver they can get their hands on(legally I hope).
If silver hits $100 an ounce, anyone who -uptothatpoint- didn't realize silver was already past $50 will be selling silver.
SO.... I don't think the price will go UP, UP, UP. But maybe UP, Up, level.... a couple dips and returns and then UP, UP to about $100 or $150 at most in the near term(5-10 years). My guess is for a situation that isn't the result of real HYPERinflation. |

If silver hits $50 an ounce, some of the current holders of silver will sell to the multitudes whose attention has been captured by the rise in price. When the supply of silver from those willing to sell at that price dries up after several months the price will continue to rise. At each incremental rise of say $10 or $20, a few more sellers will enter the market to see their offerings snapped up by buyers like a pack of pirahnas on a fat cow. I personally don't plan on selling ANY silver for less than $200 an ounce, which I fully expect to see within two years. Our present price of $18 an ounce will no doubt represent daily fluctuations when price reachs the heights I expect it to attain. I'm not the only one who feels this way: You must be logged in to see this link. |

If anyone wants to save me some time I'll sell them what I have now for $50 an ounce. However, cash deal only and I'll be happy to buy you a steak dinner to boot. :-) LOL |
