I picked up a few rolls of pennies at a bank I go to on my lunch break sometimes and lucked out. One of the rolls had 46 wheaties in it! Good range of dates with a couple of mint marks as well. Some of the more notable include a 1909, 1910, a few teens and a 1920 D.

Are you throwing that out? |

Dealing with burglaries over the years, lots of times coin collections get stolen and obviously hit the streets in a hurry. One mans misfortune is anothers opportunity I guess. |

Awesome roll! Good start on a collection for only .50 cents. I'd check those non wheats again, someone liked them enough to give em a nice home. |

I agree with PennyPauper. I once had something similar happen (except with nickels) and I got a rim die break error on one of the non-old ones. |

Imagine when someone will say that they got almost an entire roll of copper pennies, and the joy that will arise from that!
Those will be the days... |

every once in a while a nice batch of old customer wrapped rolls shows up in the bank that are solid copper, i've gotten two batches myself over the past year, and one batch was 90% BU, but not any solid wheat rolls. My eyes get big when I see that bundle of worn out old style wrappers spill out on the counter during a pickup. Its a great sight to see. |
