what I am missing about this auction? seems it went pretty low, most auctions I have seen on ebay have been going for 1.5-1.65x the whole weekend.

looks like it, or maybe people were repelled by the president coin offer or that he says copper is at all time highs

He's charging $25 for shipping. It only costs about $11 for the flat-rate box.

seems pretty common on ebay for people to try to make a little more without the extra ebay fees.

Yeah, and ebay hates when you try to bypass some of those fees by calling it shipping. The bad thing is that this low sale will affect legitimate sellers because buyers with do a completed auction seatch and think they can always get them at the lower price.

If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available.

I concur with those that said it was the shipping cost. The $25 is way out of line. I have sold in the past on eBay pre-81 copper cents, and I charged $9 for the Priority Flat rate and absorbed the mailing difference, but the auctions ended for $7-10 more than I had expected, so IMHO if you subsidize the shipping, you'll get more people watching the auction, thus in turn will create more bidders, and should result in a better sale price. Just my "two cents" worth!
