I found one in great condition in a box of half dollars. Anyone know if it's worth anything?

That is an Australian 1942 1 Penny,which is a pre-decimal coin.
Australia changed to decimal currency in February 1966.

Hey FB, most Aussie large cents have low mintages, but don't get pricey until they hit the higher grades. So its definitely better than a British large cent (higher mintages), but in circulated condition you probably only have your 50 cents worth. |

Yeah, it is a kangaroo, and I call it great condition because there's just some wear on the harilines and on roo's tail. Also a little on the cheek. If it was a US coin it would make an XF easy. I need to try and get a pic. |
