Well he/she has got it listed as 9 coins, while only 7 actually are. Has anyone else seen anything this blatant?

look at the current price of the auction $14+ S&H. this isn't a bad deal for 4 quarters and 3 dimes. People scam or ignorance, the coins listed will be delivered covered by E-bay and Paypal. I'd go for it if i bought silver. If it ended right now the auction would be below spot.

Also people do this on Ebay a lot. Sellers may be not know the facts, but bidders aren't so naive. Bidders usually won't bid on Halves from the 70's listed as silver. And bids will bring this auction up to where it would normally go for these silver coins plus the small difference for the non-silver coins.

Selling Copper cents. $0 FV available at 1.4xFV. Also interested in trading for wheat pennies and other coins Please pm me for requests or inquiries.

the best ones i've seen are when a morgan or peace dollar has a $20 dollar double eagle in the picture. But the asking price is $50-100 dollars. That would be a great deal on such a gold piece.

I've bought a few lots of mixed coins that ended up being under spot for the silver portion. I like them listed that way as it can put other bidders off.

Are you throwing that out?

I taught a Macroeconomics course earlier in the Summer and one of my students insisted that the Canadian two dollar coin is silver on the outside and gold in the middle. Evidently this guy thinks the same thing.

Theo.... you paid nearly $20 for $22 in Canadian currency. Yeah, that is okay, but not anything to brag about, is it?

but for me, I'd be thinking maybe he too was trying to trick/scam someone into giving lots of money for regular circulation Canadian coins.

Actually I've been having trouble getting Canadian currency around here (Western PA), so anytime I can get it for the current exchange rate or less I'm pretty happy. I'm open to suggestions on how to get them for less.

As for the seller, I still believe he didn't know what he was talking about. A scammer would have set a higher minimum. Although I shudder at the thought, there seems to be a segment of the population who believes that these coins are actually gold and silver. I wonder what he thinks the post-1982 pennies are made out of?
