I got a NF strong box today that are all shiny new pennies. All the outward facing are 2008 with no mintmark. Is this box worth anything? I didn't see any for sale on ebay so that is not a good sign.

If you are inclined to keep them, I think they have a fairly good long-term outlook. Mintages were below average (but still over 5billion) but not that many people saved boxes of them. Compare that to 2009, much lower mintages but tons of people saved rolls and boxes, or 2010, mintage not set but lots of people saving them.
I see a number of single rolls and groups of 10 rolls offered on ebay, but mostly buy-it-now, not sure they are really selling. You could also list them here, no fees.

I saved a few just because they were the last memorial cents. Probably nothing really. I mean is there a premium on '98 quarters because they were the last to have the eagle on the reverse?

Yes he did!! But I don't think I kept any for myself. Had a guy buying every box I could get my hands on and he also bought 2 balistic bags from me.
Hold on to them or sell them for a profit. Expect to get 40-50 bucks for them. Shipping sucks on one box. 10.20 for 1 box and 4 will fit in a medium flat rate box. |

Thanks for the replys guys. I was just going to hang on to them if there wasn't any interest on the box, but I did get a PM so we'll see what happens.
I may have to go to my bank and see if I can get anymore of these boxes. |
