And what's even MORE dangerous is that the U.S. president is trying to extort concessions from a British-based company. Gordon Brown must be livid.

I couldn't read it because of a pop up. But if anyone deserves to go belly up then it is BP. They are dragging much of the gulf coast into backruptcy with them. So what are we to do? Bail BP out too? To hell with Big Pig.

I JUST found this website a few hours ago. No joke. I don't know if it's worse than Lehman, but I do know BP has lots of employees and they probably will go bankrupt. The article I was reading earlier was this one: You must be logged in to see this link.

For those of you who are conspiracy-minded, check this out about how George Soros is allegedly profiting from the oil spill:

Interesting link, Chad. If BP does go bankrupt, which I think it will, it will have an impact, but not as large as the bankruptcy of Lehman. Lehman failing was the signal throughout the United States that the bubble was popping, and stocks tumbled, and consequently, fears rose. The sheeple realized that the homes they were buying left and right were overpriced, and that all of the mortages held by banks were essentially worthless.

Whether or not BP will be "bailed out" by either Britain or (cringe) the US, is not yet known. We will see how the cookie crumbles in the upcoming months, I guess.

Gordon Brown is a globalist scum bag who is pushing for carbon taxes, global financial regulation, etc. I'm sure he is elated at this disaster. His glee is most likely enlarged by the fact that the Queen is a major shareholder. Obama is loving this as well - it is not only crippling Red State economies in the South, but it allows him to harm the British who colonized his native Kenya.

With the same thing they bailed all the banks out with. Money printed out of thin air. They need more money, go print it. Sell a few bonds to China and Japan and go print more. The dollar is a joke and isnt worth crap, only reason its holding up is the Euro is getting hammered daily.

Very thought provoking article. It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out. I am quite sure we only know half of the story, if that much, and we know the "facts" but what will definitely be interesting is the "truth."

I think they will do a GM number split the assets between good and bad and go from there.
