So I entered a pic into APMEX's summer lovin contest through facebook. My Pic is of the rainbow trout with the gold bar lure in it's mouth. I would really appreciate it if my fellow realcenters would take a look and if you like it comment or “like it”. Either way it is a cool contest and I think I have a real shot of doing well. That's why i didn't try to link it. I figured a person would have to be logged in to get it to come up.
If it was a one ounce bar I would have to be 100% sure i'd win before I drilled two holes in it and I would have that fish mounted.

Yeah fatboy, seems like a pic that the APMEX guys could come up with tons of slogans for.
It took alot to get that photo. I had to buy the bar. Drill two tiny holes (dental drill at the office). Borrow a trebel hook and split ring from one of my smallest plugs. Then the hardest thing......catch and photograph the fish. I still can't believe it all feel together.

Is that a gold or silver bar? Did you really drill holes into that bar? And did you really use it as a lure and catch the fish? No way. Not with a gold bar...

Its a one gram gold bar. yes i did drill holes . And NO i would loose it for sure on the fist cast. I caught the trout on a mayfly

That is one cool photo...(this coming from a former tackle store worker). We didn't have fish like that here in Central Florida but I can appreciate a beautiful fish and an even more gorgeous "lure". I sure hope you can "lure" in APMEX with that photo that looks like a winner to me.
