I found this in my library last week. The Backyard Homestead by Carleen Madigan, 2009 by Storey Publishing.

The book covers vegetables and preservation, fruits and nuts, poultry, meat and dairy, grains and herbs (medicinal), bee keeping, beer and wine making, too much to list... enough to feed a family for a year on just 1/4 to 1/2 acre of land. It also has a layout for a 1/10 acre lot with house.

This isn't a comprehensive guide, but a good start. It gave me and my wife several ideas to research for our home, developing our Personal Crisis/BugIn strategy.
