| 6000 premium over melt value!? That is a lot to dump on a copper investment. I would rather buy 1250 one ounce silver ASE's and pay less than half that in premium. But hey I'm sure there is a buyer out there somewhere... |

| If you think that is a "little much" try picking up 4 million pennies from your local bank, then sort through 4 million pennies, then take back 3 million zincers. Then roll up 1 million copper pennies and put them in 400 boxes. Then tell me if you think it is too much. At the time I listed this auction my asking price was not $6,000.00 over melt it was about $4,500.00 |

EnDTheFed and youngfee101 As NDFARMER stated... The labor involved in this transaction was enormous. How many Realcent members have the resources and patients to develop this kind of holding?. This auction would be a great starting point for a large scale initial investor, despite having to set up shipping. There are only a few other members on Realcent that could offer such a substantial stake in U.S. copper bullion at this time.
Stealing from another post on investing my "Dream Million".... This would be on my list. |

| I think this is why the gov't has paid no attention to coin hoarding to date; even a huge hoard is only like 25k +/-. For that amount they really can't be bothered! This is of course not to downplay the labor involved, but compared to gold, real estate, bonds, etc this is nothing. |

Thanks for pointing that out Lemon Thrower. If you have ever been in business you know there is always someone that can and will sell for less than you do? I know there are many ways to get $10,000.00 in copper pennies cheaper than buying them from me. If you want to get them at face value just stop on down to your local bank and pick up 4 million pennies and sort through them. If you purchased one million pennies from Portland Mint would they be rolled and boxed? And does that include shipping? As I have said many times I really didn't care if these sold or not. I have too much into them to sell them for anything less and I won't they will just sit in my basement for my kids or grandkids.
I put this auction up to get people thinking about copper the same way they think about silver. It sure got a lot people talking about it. Over 4000 views and 150 watchers on Ebay and over 2600 views here on Realcent. I think that is pretty good for $2.00 |

I think this was outstanding! When people first began keeping out silver coins, others thought they were nuts...now look at the 90% and 40% silver market. When people kept out silver certificates, those people were also thought to be a bit touched in the head...see silver certificates often these days??? The time will come for these pennies just as it did for wheat cents.
NDFarmer had the great idea to get this out to a market like eBay to catch the eyes of many. Two years ago I saw people selling copper pennies on eBay for a premium and I thought how strange...why? Then I found the site coinflation, then I found this forum.
It's called developing the market and timing.

| Thank You PTP. I have been surprised at all the negative comments I have received about this auction. Many negative comments from Realcent members witch surprises me. I thought if anybody would want to advance the development of the copper bullion market and be happy that a member gets more than two times face for their copper it would be here. But I guess I was wrong. |

| No negative comments here NDFARMER. Nice to see some exposure. I am sure people want to keep it on the lowdown so they can hoard more...but who cares. There are plenty out there for the taking. |

I know I sure wouldn't sell for less than 25k, how much did all the machines you used cost you?that too accounts for the 4,500 over melt let alone the immense labor! Also, concerning the price, Why $24,999? is that some sort of ebay limit? thanks for the exposure just hope i can build my hoard up in time now =p

I think it is awasome. I have checked it everyday with hopes to see a bid. It is a cool idea and hats off to you for thinking to do it.

| No the $24,999.99 starting price has no significance other than it is 2 and a half cents times face. |

Nobody bids until the final seconds. They don't want to get in a bidding war. I am hoping to see a bid also. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.

ND ~ Did not mean to sound negative there. I should have started my response by stating that what you have done is nothing short of astounding! I was merely looking at the auction from an investors stand point. (getting the most for my money) Completely understand the amount of work that was put in here, and if your intention was not to sell but to grab peoples attention, than a job well done...! |

Hey NDFARMER, I glad you posted that on eBay. Keep up the good work!
Maybe, as you say, when copper bounces back to 3.50 + you will have better success, but glad you did that, anyway .
