CNBC's Cramer just announced he is bullish on Gold because "Things are not working like they are suppose to." "Be a little protective, be a little cautions."

So do we do the opposite of what Cramer says? :-)

To be honest the only person I really listen to on CNBC is Larry Kudlow.

I watch CNBC in the AM to watch the markets but always take their reporting with a grain of salt.

If I had any, I would consider that a "market top marker" and sell as well!

Cramer is speaking to the investment audience that HAS NO GOLD. He is telling them to GET SOME GOLD NOW!! From what I heard, he wasn't talking about just paper GOLD either. If anyone here on RealCent has NO GOLD, perhaps you should follow Cramer's advice and get some today.

Larry Kudlow is bullish on GOLD because of the fiat being created worldwide.

I'm not about to sell my GOLD (or SILVER) now. GOLD is the ultimate hedge against worldwide turmoil. If you're speculating, use paper GOLD. I may not be buying, but I'M NOT SELLING ANY GOLD I OWN THAT I CAN TOUCH AND FEEL!!

Would you focus more on silver if you were lucky enough to have bought gold when it was in the $700 to $800 range? I definitely think everyone should have some gold on hand but feel silver has more room to move up.

That's the point that Cramer was making - the world is too dangerous and everyone should have some GOLD. This is not one of his idle BULLISH stock recomendations.

Silver can easily go up 500 percent given the current lack of supply and when the apparent cooking of the books at COMEX unravels. I can't see gold doing the same thing. What little gold I had I traded for silver.

I hope no one really took this thread's title as a sell sign. But I have often heard gold bugs say that when Cramer says to buy gold it will then be the time to sell. That sneaky guy!

I traded my gold for platinum when they were nearly equal. No regrets.

I think if you were just starting out, silver would be the route to go. If you have ALOT to invest, though, it's hard to find large amounts of silver, so that would be a good reason to own some gold. Silver is totally off the radar of even guys like Cramer; he and other analysts fail to mention it either because it has a connotation of "the poor man's silver," it is dissed as an industrial metal and not real money, or they might think that to have high amounts of money invested in silver would be too much of a storage or transportation problem. I am 80% silver, 20% gold. I agree silver has MUCH better prospects going forth, but it is more volatile as well. As someone once said "hoard now and hold on."

Sometimes I think Cramer is just a snake oil salesman/song and dance man who gets the heard in while his owners are making their exit out.
