Right now, I know the prices are low enough that nickel is sold by the pound. Do you think prices will ever get to the point where it would be common place for it to be sold by the ounce? How long do you think it would take for prices to get to that point?

That is pretty. I know they are made out there but it doesn't seem that common place. You go to kitco and they have the price by the pound. Just wondering when main stream would start quoting prices by the ounce and you would go into a coin store and ask for an ounce of nickel just like you do for an ounce of silver.

BTW, I went to your site and all the nickel bullion is sold out. Must be pretty popular? Do you guys make the nickel bullion yourselves?

Yep, it's popular, and I have some new nickel items coming soon. I don't make it though, it's made by CMC. You get much more "bang for your buck" with Canadian nickels, but that hasn't slowed the sales of these bars at all.

So Natsb88 since you are the only one responding :-), how long do you think it will take for places like Kitco to price nickel per ounce vs per pound? or will that never happen?

With copper and nickel being used as base metals for building and what not I do not see them ever being used in ounces. I would just assume to see the price per pound to go up to its demand price. I think copper was .70-.90 a pound at one time and the fact that its gone up at least 400% from those prices has not justified a change per ounce. Nickel is the same story. Does $50-100 pound copper sound likely? Maybe but by then people should see in inflated dollars.

Price per pound/ton will be the order of the day for a long time, I think copper would make it per ounce before nickel because it has been used for money longer and can be identified easy, 1 red metal VS. 100 kinds of silver metal.

Just my two cents!

I don't think it will ever be sold by the ounce except in novelty bars like the one above.

I don't expect to see the spot price (which is based on large paper contracts) priced in ounces any time soon, but that's not to say we can't see significant increases in price.

Oh, I agree with you on that. In fact, I got a couple of tons of 25/75% I'm betting on with.
