Silver is slowing losing ground and I don't think it will stay in the $19 range too much longer. I think it will slip back to the $16 - $17 range is less than 1 month.

It appears to be losing steam this morning, but even when it takes a step back it is usually after taking two steps forward

We might see $17ish in less than a month, but if we see $16ish then I would think August would be more the time frame. Of course if the stock market crashes I wouldn't rule out below $15.

At $15 I will be accumulating. Granted if anyone will sell...

i'm biased but i don't think we'll see 17.00 again, let alone 15.00.

i think these are games in the futures markets where they operators try to take out leveraged players for profit. demand from europe will have this back up in no time. notice how gold is not trading in sympathy, because that market is much larger and harder to push around.

Buying:
Peace/Morgan G+ at $15.00
copper cents at 1.3X
wheat pennies at 3X

You could be correct on that, but gold is considered a much more traditional safe haven than silver especially in Europe. I expect gold will maintain more of its gain and silver will continue to fall at a faster percentage rate. How low can she go? Who knows?

If it means anything to anybody, I have silver showing support at $16.50ish. By the end of June, I project that we should not see less than $17 again.

why would the prospect of the failure of the EU as a political union or the failure of fiat currencies cause silver to separate from gold? silver has been money across cultures for more than 3,000 years. if you look at the history of the gold to silver ratio, its a relatively recently phenomonon to exceed 17-1, let alone 50-1.

You must be logged in to see this link.

at the risk of stating the obvious, the gold to silver ratio measures the value of silver RELATIVE to gold. nothing in current events is making gold more valuable than silver. quite the contrary, gold and silver are being recognized as money again. this began some time ago for gold, but lately silver is being demanded by investors. so if anything, silver is coming into its own and relative to gold should be increasing. of course, we dont see that yet in the comex prices but there could be other reasons for that.

Buying:
Peace/Morgan G+ at $15.00
copper cents at 1.3X
wheat pennies at 3X

You know that, and I know that, but most people now look at silver more as an industrial metal than as a safe haven. Gold for now remains THE #1 safe haven and silver will take a beating (like it did in 08) when the economic heat is on. But it will be one of the first precious metals to recover and move on to higher ground.

What's stopping you from buying now? Waiting for a better price is just another excuse to procrastinate... and someday you might be sorry you did. I'm thinking of selling some gold to get more silver. Already trading the ratio in the stock market by jumping in and out of DGP and AGQ

Hoard now and hold on!

silver is back up to nearly where it was yesterday... only off by two cents, but I don't trust JPM. I wouldn't be surprised to see them cut off the legs of the hedge funds again, shorting silver down fifty cents when London closes and all the action is in New York. I'll buy, if that happens.

Hoard now and hold on!

Per the "low" on kitco.com this morning, Silver had hit $16.67. I'm new to this game for sure, but a low/high spread of 16.67 to 18.73 means it's trading in a 11-12% range for the day? That seems too high to me.

I think Kitoc is wrong. By their own daily chart silver just dropped below $18 for a short time today. I have been keeping an eye on it all day and if it had hit $16.67 I would have bought.

i think it was one of those 'glitch' deals, because there was some uproar around some of the places i check today, like it dropped almost $2 and gained almost $2 within a minute or two.

It seems that everyone, or most everyone, on here uses Kitco to watch the PM market. Is there a particular reason?

I like watching the PM prices on You must be logged in to see this link. as it refreshes automatically and you see the changes instantly with it being highlighted in red (down) or green (up) and it seems to be pretty close to real time. I've been following silver and gold on this site for almost two years now.

Sure do wish we'd get off this really wild roller coaster ride though. Otherwise, I'm going to need to take some motion sickness medicine.
