Well, my first two boxes yeilded nice results - 16 40% and 3 64's. This time Fate didn't smile on me. Nada, Nothing, Zip. In fact, 24 of the rolls were all unc. 95 P's. Where they hell have they been hiding the last 15 years? Apparently they were just sitting there waiting for me.

When the service company runs out of halves, they get them from the Federal Reserve. I've slogged through 27 $500 boxes of solid 1994-P BU halves out of my last 29 boxes. That's right - only two of my last boxes had any circulated halves in them. I can't wait until my BU skunks end. Consider yourself lucky!!

| Skunk boxes must be a trend across the country I picked up 4 boxes on Monday and all four were skunks. That is the first time that has happened to me. I know the silver and the skunks run in streaks. I will be glad when this skunk streak ends. I am picking up two more boxes today. I hope they turn out better. And welcome aboard BamaJoe. |

I have never found a silver half dollar in a roll so consider yourselves lucky :(
Of course, I only ask for halves that have been turned in by customers. |

| The BU rolls may have some collector value on Ebay if you are willing to work on it. But still getting such boxes sounds very discouraging. |

Don't search rolls expecting to find something. Then you won't be disappointed. If you develop the mindset beforehand that "this is gonna be another skunk box," then if you do find something, it'll bring a smile to your face... rather than causing you to gripe that you just found one lousy 40% half in four boxes.  |
