That is definitely another odd one for me. I had never seen nor heard about the $20.00 rolls of halves that you got recently. Now, the $1.25 rolls of nickels. How in the world would it ever make sense to buy rolls in that amount of money? I understand the penny at one half of a dollar because a roll of 100 pennies would be a bit awkward. But everything else of our works out nice and even in dollar amounts.
I wonder if they are trying to copy the $25.00 rolls of Presidential Dollar coins.......hmmmmmmmm.
Keep reporting on the oddities you get in the way of coin rolls out your way. I find it quite interesting.
I wonder if anyone on here that might collect coin wrappers would be interested in receiving/trading for any of these strange wrappers you have been getting lately?
I think the 25 coin BU nickel rolls were promotional rolls made to sell. They could sell what they called a roll.. and it would only have 25 coins in it instead of 40. They figured some folks might not notice and would base buy or bid price on other "roll" prices without making the distinction.. thus making for profit for the company. Most automatic rolling machines will only make 40 coin rolls and 20 coin rolls of nickels.
