Many years ago when I took a trip to Florida I visited a shop that was literally tucked away in a strip of offices in the industrial section. The guy made "Atocha" jewelry, rebuilt bikes and who knows what else. He had one of these bars under his desk he rolled out.
In order to make the "Atocha" claim he said part of the silver used in making the jewelry he stamped into coins etc. came from an actual silver bar from the Atocha. Or so his story goes.
From what I heard Mel Fisher paid his investors by giving them these bars. It is only worth what someone will pay for it. Maybe it sells and maybe it does not. Who knows...
