every time recorded that Eyjafjallajökull (the current volcano) erupted, Katla erupted afterwards.
Katla is big.

Looks like this one is right on time. Seems to have behaved similarly the three previous, erupting every 80 years, the last being 1918. It definitely brings light to how quickly things can change and the volatile planet we live on. I wonder how much the massive water displacement will affect the ocean?

I'm more concerned about global cooling brought on by a sustained ash cloud setting off another ice age. brr.
