I was breaking up a couple of $500 half dollar boxes and I occurred to me that I should be doing something useful with these boxes. What do you do with the empty boxes? Thanks
I store my keepers rolled in $500 NF String Half boxes. There's a Teller at my main dump bank that wants all my $500 Brinks boxes because they stack nicely in her drawer, she provides them to other Tellers to help organize their drawers. Most of my NF String boxes are left at my dump banks and tossed in the trash. I take my Half dumps back in the boxes (and wrappers) they came in.
I use Brinks (Garda) boxes for the 40% halfs, and I have another box for AU pre-1982 pennies; another for wheats; another for pre-1960 nickles, another for 2009 coins, another for NIFC halfs, another for gold plated halfs, another for what I think are error coins, another for canadian nickles. They make nice segregation boxes.
What do you do with the empty boxes?
