I prep my Brinks boxes for later sorting by slitting the plastic wrap midway, then breaking them apart and dumping them into another box. After one emptying I noticed something different. At first I thought it was a wheatie, but when I picked it up I noticed it was a wreath on the back. Who knew?? Wow, not even looking for it, and a 1903 jumps out at me In VG condition, too.

I can't believe this! I feel like the ghost of Kirkland is haunting my penny boxes! Just a little more than two hours after the last Indian, I just found another, the same way. A 1905, not quite as good of condition as the 1903, but still an Indian |

Yeah, but the ghost has lost his mojo. The two I found were in four boxes... not nearly as impressive as The Legend
Be careful what you write.
Last week another member accused me of being Kirkland! |

I got one today that someone shaved the face off smooth as glass, then, engraved their initials in it.
I don't know man.......what he was thinking? I have no idea.
Anyone? |
What's in it for the dude? |

I think they refer to those as "love tokens" and there is a fair-sized ebay market for them (usually silver dimes). It probably has more value as is then as was. You might want to market it on ebay if the reverse is in good shape |
