I own Arian Silver(penny stock getting close to production), Great Panther(producer), and Hecla(preferred and common), doing well in all of them and still holding.
I am speculating on Duluth Metals(outstanding PGM/Copper property), but this one isn't doing so hot at the moment. |

I used to trade quite a bit, if I could make $200 or $300 in a few days I would dump the stock and wait to buy back in at a lower price. I got caught at the market peak back in July 2008 and since I don't believe in stop-loss orders when I like a stock have been forced to hold positions since then. Grrrh Hopefully, silver will blast off again and I can take a small profit on each of the positions I hold, then wait until JPM/Goldmnan Sachs pulls down the market again and get back in for more shares at a lower price. If only I could get Andrew McGuire to answer my emails |

| gold and silver miners have been very good to me, in contrast to some other stocks. I have traded in and out of NXG, a junior, a couple of times. Mostly I prefer profitable miners with proven reserves in politically secure areas. I have been selling south african miners, not liking the direction I read about down there. Canada and Australia, despite the Aussy taxes, are my favorite spots. Some of the secure latin american mines as well. When gold last peaked, I sold some, and bought part of it back at lower prices. I like the profitable miners; these are not stocks I am too worried about being stuck with, as I think there is longer term a significant rise in gold when the dollar starts a major decline. It may take a while, as the Euro and Pound have to get out of the way. So, for me, speculating in gold/silver miners is less anxious than many other stocks. I also bought GDX the mining ETF, but it doesn't seem to move as much. There is also an ETF for junior miners, GDXJ which is more volitile, but I have never owned it. I am wary of "story" stocks, having been burnt too many times. If gold spikes up to 1400 or so, I will probably sell some of these, and wait for a pull back. |

This might explain why....
On March 25th at the CFTC Public Hearing on Precious Metals GATA made a dramatic revelation of a whistleblower source, Andrew Maguire, who has first hand evidence of gold and silver market manipulation by JPMorganChase and who has even tipped off the CFTC in advance of manipulative attacks on gold and silver. Just as in the Madoff case the regulator has done nothing to stop such manipulation.
On March 26th while out shopping with his wife, Mr. Maguire's car was hit by a car careening out of a side road. The driver of the vehicle then tried to escape. When a pedestrian eye-witness attempted to block the driver's escape he accelerated at him and would have hit him had the pedestrian not jumped out of the way. The car then hit two other cars in escaping. The driver was apprehended by the police after police helicopters were called in and following a high speed chase.
Andrew and his wife were hospitalized with minor injuries. They were discharged from hospital today and should make a full recovery.

Sold some nears the highs a few weeks ago and bought back in last Thurs. A very good move for me. This rally still has legs, so holding right now.
It is a great day today. Arian up 18% Great Panther up 8%, Hecla up 6%.

| i like SSRI. Its up but it has a lot of projects in development. in plain english, those are projects that are being drilled. as the geos get the drill results, the estimate of pm's in the ground goes up. then eventually they do a pre-feasability study and determine how much of those pm's can be mined economically and at what cost and how quickly. lots of those in the pipeline for SSRI plus some of its projects are already producing pm's. |

| i have a small amount of SA. SSRI has a project next to SA's KSM that has the potential to be even larger than all of SA. And they are a silver company. that said, they are about 2 years behind SA in developing it, 2-3 years from pre-feasibility study, etc. in the mean time, the have 10 other projects. I think in 3 years time SSRI will be worth twice as much as SA, and I like SA. |
