My youngest son found one (our first) tonight! Hope this is not a swan song. The mint is hardly producing nickels (none) and dimes (ninteen million)this year; who knows what the next few years will hold?

BOOM! Ok, well not really. I was driving back from a recent trip and I got two in change from a gas station pretty much in the middle of nowhere. First I have found, D mint.

Yippee! Finally!!!

I found my first 2010 Shield Pennies last night during a search. There were FIVE in one CWR. All five were from the Philadelphia Mint.

I'm in Central Florida and I got these from my main bank.

I almost had my husband stop at a bank when we were down in Sarasota on Saturday to get some pennies from down there but decided against it at the last minute.

Those five new pennies are already in a gorgeous jar I found at a yard sale that I had set aside for the purpose of saving the 2010 penny. I know many of you have admired the different jars I have gotten at yard sales for the various coins I am sorting/collecting. I took pictures last night so when I get somewhere with high speed I'll try to post those.

I find it really ironic that I now have 2010 coins, penny included, and I still have NOT found a single 2009 dime and only two 2009 nickels!

My main pickup bank had 20 rolls of the "shields" on Friday...Maybe they will get more and I can share.

Ahhh got a full box of these buggers a few hours ago, I almost get disappointed when I see the new pennies by the roll. There is nothing to sort :) Well at least they bring a nice premium anyways.

Personally, I'm sick of seeing them.
They cut into the bottom line.

I am flipping about 1/2 a box of them on feebay this week.
6 days left on them.

Oh I'm sure HZBTT has his snipper program on for that one.
