YES..
Italy 500L coins (KM-98) 1958-1987 were all .835 SILVER, .2953 ASW, and each weighs 11g. |

At $17.34 SILVER, these are worth $5.12 each just for the SILVER content. BUYing them for $4.50 each would be a 12% discount from spot (a fair price for foreign SILVER). |

I think it's fun to see how certain foreign coins have varied silver content:
canada 80% us 90%, 40% 35% italy 83.5%
Neat to be aware of the difference. Also a bunch of foreign coins appear silver and are nickel that always throws me. |

| They are great coins - even full spot is a decent price. |

Heck yeah. If the seller will take $4, back the truck up. That works out to $13.50 an Oz. Don't get hung up on what the some folks say about foreign Ag. When the price of Ag finally gets to where it will from increased demand. It won't matter anymore.
Under priced foreign Ag is the sleeper right now, get in on the ground floor while you can. Let everyone else pay spot or more for their Yankee doodle Ag. Let them pay those ridiculous premiums for their ASE's... There is absolutely no guarantee those premiums will still be there when Ag goes through the roof. Especially if we actually get to the point where we're bartering with PM's.
Plus, you have potential numismatic value as a back stop. Not to mention most foreign coins are attractive and pleasing to look at. Post WWII U.S. coins are ugly and look like something issued by a third world banana republic.

If you get a bunch of these at a good price, I'd be interested in buying some of them from you. They're nice coins. |

| He's selling a couple peace dollars at 9-10 dollars a piece, and no they aren't slicks... So who know what he'll do the other coins at. If i end up buying the coins i'll put them up here, i'm only interested in a handful of the items he's trying to sell. |

| I agree with the thoughts on foreign silver. I always seem to get better deals on it than US or Canadian. I make it a point to look for obscure wold silver. World Coin Gallery is a great resource for this. I'll pick countries at random, look up what they coined in silver, then troll fleabay looking for it. |
Are you throwing that out? |

Buy all the peace dollars you can. I pay $15 for them locally. Would buy a thousand at $10 each :)

| Peace dollars are funny. Sometimes I can find them for cheaper than Morgans, but other times I can get the Morgans cheaper. Go figure. To get back on topic, I looked up some of the 500 Lire coins on ebay, and there seems to be quite a few that I think could be had for spot or a bit over. |
