Interesting topic.....
Doable?
I'm all about free trade, but if my buyer ran into some of the recent price drops here, I'd be out a buyer.
Don't understand this considering current events.....care to elaborate

That Dragon and the 'lets make it a forum' button was pushed.
I'll get the hang of this soon enough.

I don't think I'm finding the thread you speak of... Can you throw me a link, or was that thread it? Cause it really didn't seem have any discussion past your first statement. |

It's the "Free market" at work. Some of us have pushed our prices up to a "reasonable" level. This has the benefit of making the prices offered by other sellers look good. It is a true free market. Folks can sell at whatever price they want. There is still plenty of "cheap copper" out there. I have been known to buy some of it myself.
If you have a heavy buyer at a high price you can engage in arbitrage and buy a few tons from low cost providers and flip it to him. |
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more.
Now selling Copper pennies. 1.6x plus shipping. Limited amounts available. |

W used to have a section called Market Development.
I can not find it now, but what hoard says is correct. A few of us agreed on a price. The "spot" price moves and new sellers are always entering and exiting for different reasons. Some one will always undersell the "group" and someone will always be higher priced. I have been the lowball guy, cheaper than everyone else. I have been higher than most others too.
If we can't call it a "free" market, it's at the very minimum, very "dynamic". We all have a place and it floats.

the selling price depends on many factors....each person has their reasons. I sell mine cheap because I'd rather move them to free up money to buy more rolls to search. Somne sell high because they are not concerned about moving them right away. |
