Any Casinos Still have half dollar machines? Does any one know of any casinos that still use real half dollars in their machine?

penny bubba I visit Vegas at least once a year. The ones that use to be around are gone. Now there might be some hole in the wall out of the way casino that still has some but I don’t know which one that might be, others might.
If you do see a half dollar machine it just has a dollar bill validator and if you win it prints out a voucher and no coins are ever in the process. You don't even have a hole to drop coins in anymore. I use to love to pluck out those 40% and 90% halves too.

| There might be some half dollar machines left in Downtown Las Vegas, if anywhere. Casinos have saved huge sums by going coinless, but it took some of the charm out of Vegas, IMO. |

| I found a few 1/2 machines in downtown Vegas a couple months ago. Fitsgaurds or something like that and another casino. Also some of the ones on the strip use 1/2s on the blackjack tables so I bought from them. Went through a few grand and no silver. The last day I hit up 3 actual banks and picked up some 40%. Dumped the rest at a casino loose. You have to love 24/7 loose service with a smile. |

| Wouldn't it be something for a Casino to have slots that took 90% silver coins only? |

the Grand Casino Coushatta in Louisanna has an all coin room with half machines. The few times I've been, I had no luck on silver halves.

Those casino coins get recycled within the casino over and over again.
The coin circulating in the casinos is well searched.
They're just markers. The only hope of finding silver is if someone brings their own coin to the slots.
I've lost thousands on Fremont St. (Golden Nugget used to be my second home) |

I'm turning 18 Tuesday and my grandparents are taking me to the Soaring Eagle casino in Michigan.
Anyone ever been there or know if they use coins?
I don't really want to gamble so I would like to have something to do while I'm there. |

It's been 7 or 8 years since I was last in there. They weren't using coins then, they were using tokens. Plus, the machines would accept FRNs.

I used to hit up Soaring Eagle about twice a year when I lived in Saginaw. This was 5-6 years ago and they didn't have any coin machines back then, so I doubt they do now still. If I remember right the casino in Windsor, Ontario had some last time I was there. |

Nope, especially if you are on the strip. But I try real hard to get them back at the buffet. Those crab legs are expensive! |

Hello:
I know of a casino that has .50 machines. I've actually gotten some 40% from there, but the percentage is so low it really isn't worth your time.
That casino is Fitzgeralds in Tunica MS. They only have two banks of these machines (not very many).
