A friend asked me to help him ID these.

A local second generation coin dealer offered $100.00

The large bars weighs One pound and two point seven ounces, or five hundred and thirty grams.

The small bar weighs fifteen point seven ounces or four hundred and forty four grams.

We are trying to determine fair value.

Do they ring like silver?

I would just have them melted!

Update:

I had these chemically tested and .... Lead. No silver reaction at all to them.

I had tried to warn the buyer several times about buying "deals" from China on PM's. He bought a 1921 peace dollar, and sold it to me for what he had in it, seventy dollars, the exact price of the bars, because seen them on ebay and he wanted them.

The peace was scratched on the obverse in a way I didn't like, so I took it to my dealer the next day, and when he offered ninety, I pocketed the thirty dollar difference. This was last year sometime.

And now we know.

China and PM in the same sentence should raise red flags.
