My wife who is the resident nickle sorter found a dirty looking soin in a roll of nickles she was sorting tonight. She gave it to me, I spent a bit of time cleaning it carefully and 'bingo' .... we have our first Liberty Nickel find!
Its a quite corroded, but easily readable (obverse and reverse) 1901. A common date cull, but still exciting to pull out of a roll of nickels.
I told her now that she's found that one whe should keep her eyes open for a really good condition 1884 or 1885 Liberty nickel !
