Awesome motos! I broke my drought yesterday. My sales area covers ten parishes (yes, I'm in Louisiana-no counties) and I stopped at a small bank at the outer limits of my area to pick up a few rolls of pennies and nickels. The teller was very nice and asked a few questions, so I told her it was to help a nephew get a coin badge in the Scouts. That usually gets them to be more willing to help. I asked if she had any rolls of half dollars. She said she thought she had 70. Well my mind immediately went into panic mode trying to figure out how to get my hands on $700. What she meant was she had $70 worth not 70 rolls. I bought them and netted me three from 1964, one from 1965, two from 1967, two from 1968, and a 1958 Franklin half. It sure pays to ask!!! Good luck to everyone looking to end a drought and continued success to everyone riding a current hot streak!!!

Nice! Louisiana has taken over GA for the big halves hot spot.

I'm not sure about that, but I really have had a tremendous amount of luck the last two or three years. I am only able to get them in $1000 bags at a time, so I can only do this once every two months. I have never been skunked and have only had one bad experience doing this. I arrived early one day at the bank to pick up my halves on the day THEY set up for me to come in. I saw three tellers on the vault room floor with a coffee can picking through the halves as they bagged them. I wanted to go off, but with all the touchiness since 9/11 I thought better of it.

I know the feeling...just when you want to quit, something good comes along and drags you back into your addiction.
