| If anyone is fired up about PD after reading that article, I have a few 10 oz bars (PAMP Suisse) that I'd be willing to sell for $4,900 USD each shipped and insured. |

I don't think pd will hit $1700 in the next 3 years but I think it is undervalued and is a good metal to diversify in.
Its hard to compare todays price with price back in 2001. Only reason it shot up so fast was because of the auto makers switching over to pd rather than platinum. Rumors are that china automakers are going to switch to pd though!
Will be interesting to see what happends.
On a side note:
Nickelmeister is great to deal with and can deliver the pd. I bought some maples from him not long ago. |

| Can anyone explain why the Bid and Ask spread is so wide on Palladium? Apmex sells the 10 TOZ Pamp bars at $4810, but only buys them at $4261 with Palladium spot is at $446. Seems like the dealers are really protecting themselves in a very thin market. If your investment horizon is not very LONG term, it seems that you would be better off with the PALL ETF to avoid this enormous spread. |

Whoops, do they? Then I lower my offer to $4,800 shipped/insured.
The spread on palladium, and to an extent platinum, will always be larger than that on gold/silver for the reasons you mention. |

If you have the money to spend on platinum then it is hard to get excited about the little brother, palladium.
While I'm sure the uses are mainly industrial, you just don't hear folks talking about the wonderful purpose of palladium do you? Regardless, I'll stick with putting my eggs in a platinum basket. :-) |

What makes you chose platinum?
With everyone trying to cut costs I think a lot of people are going to start trying to get rid of platinum in their products.
Also with Russia controlling 70%+ of the PD market I think it it very easy for the price to rise very quickly |
