I'm so sick over pennies....I frequently trade a dime or two for the whole "take-a-penny" container if sufficient coppers exist. That will get you some odd looks. |

Congratulations, CC. You're building quite the wheat collection! You must be on cloud nine!

That's great CC. I really enjoy reading about when one of my fellow members here gets a great bag! If you decide you want to sell off some of your wheat hoard, let me know.. I am always in the market to add to my hoard.
If your percentages are low.. just sort more.

Been saving my loose change for the past 29 years....one of this day i'll check them out and see what I have...... in the other hand I don't think so, hate to mess around with five 5 gallons plastic water containers full of coins.
Can't even lift them, I have to roll them.

A lot of that older money in Cuba has silver in it. At the current price of silver you could probably buy a lot of great cigars with that.

I Want to get my totals of wheats to 100,000.... I would love to have a million of them but I dont think that will happen in this day in age. Im Saveing them to sale after 2009 when Prices will jump more.
Whats going to Happen to coin prices when the dollar falls most coin prices are in us currency?

That is a great question and I sure don't know the answer. On one hand I would think that any collectables that don't have an international market would go down as people struggle to buy what they need. On the other hand people may throw as many dollars as they have left into collectable and junk coins in a last ditch effort to preserve some wealth.
If I had to guess I would say that all the "junk" US coins that trade close to metal value go up and other US coins goes down and a few rare US coins with world interest will be immune from the fall...

20 bags is certainly possible. I have at least that many sitting around as part of my hoard. I really like the wheat cents too.

horgad, the same thing that happened in Germany in 1923 is what will happen here, where there was 200 printing houses printing the Mark no one was making more coins so that the coins retained its original value when the paper didn't.

1200 a week is certainly an impressive number. How are you able to do that without a counter or rolling machine? How do you get rid of that much zinc? That is always my biggest problem. Are you getting all these through your bank or are you spreading your action around? Glad to hear the wheats are piling up.
