Given my passion for prep ideas, I just registered SurvivalPrep.net and got a blog set up on the site a few days ago (as some of you may have noticed in my signature line). I'd be interested in any topic ideas you guys have, although I have at least a few.

i would like to know about securing the entry points on your home.

for example, i have a glass front door that i intend to upgrade to steel. i'm told that you still need to make sure that the frame is anchored into your house well.

also, if we get a riot situation, i'd like my windows protected. while its calm, its probably a good idea to get weatherproof plywood cut to size, but still i'd like to know how to attach them securely without damaging the existing window frames. i wonder if there is an economical metal alterlative, like corrugated tin or something.

I'm probably going to just stick with keeping this a blog for now. I've got a bit much on my plate to try to handle a forum as well.

I'll start a thread on suggestions for topics. Kurr and Lemon Thrower, I'll put your ideas on the list.

I've just uploaded my first video series on food dehydration, one of the harder things to dehydrate, IMO: chicken. I've got three videos that should be viewable on YouTube in the next few hours. I've set up a subdomain pointing to my YouTube page, You must be logged in to see this link..
