So I have to brag. As of last night I have completed my Jefferson nickel set. (Through 2008, I can't find the pesky 2009D)This was done COMPLETELY through coin roll hunting. I got all my key dates for face value!

Congrats! How long did it take you?

Started it as a kid, but did not have any of the key dates. It took me about a year and $7200 in nickels to find all the keys. Pretty lucky, because I know many here have gone through much more than that and still have not found them all.

Congrats on the great accomplishment. It must feel so good not to have any empty holes staring back at you. What was your last coin? I'm still waiting to find that 1950-D.

Congratulations! I lack only 4 to complete mine and I've been at it for 2 years.
I consider that a serious accomplishment in numismatic terms.

1939S was my last. The 1950D was actually one of the first keys that I found.

Congratulations, chris6084! That truly is an awesome achievement. Great to read that you are getting back into a hobby you began as a youth.

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone.

Wow! Congratulations! I'm working on my own as well. I have a Whitman folder 38-61 that is 71% full just from circulation. I've been at it for about 6 months. The Jefferson Nickel is special because it's the last set you can reasonable expect to assemble from circulation.
