I used to need an extra set of hands when trying to pour one bag of coins into an empty bag. Even then it wasnt easy. I went to the hardware store and bought a pre cut section of 6" PVC sewer pipe that was about 2' long and a PVC drain grate. I cut the 6" pipe to about 14" and turned the drain grate upside down and placed the pipe in the grate. The drain grate acts like a stand for the pipe. Then I pushed the coin bag into the pipe and draped the edge of the bag over the top edge of the pipe. Now I can pour bag to bag with ease or just hold a bag open to sort into or whatever. Hope that helps somebody. I think you could build just about anything with PVC pipe, duct tape and baling wire!
Thanks jldco.. that certainly gives me some ideas for transferring the coins from one machine to the next in my processing so I don't have to keep moving them in buckets.
If your percentages are low.. just sort more.
