I found a 1983 Penny while sorting that the 'heads' side is offset where 'in god' is halved on the edge and the edge is touching the L in Liberty, on the bottm right is a space 1mm or slightly less that is a noticeable depression before the standard edge on the right side. The standard edge only goes from about 12oclock to 6 oclock clockwise...
Anyone have any idea on value, the coin is circulated in good condition?
I noticed no one has posted any answer for you, so I'll try to give it my best. I think this may be a die error where it is offset. I find them occasionally, but not quite as noticeable as yours. I would keep it for now and maybe get an opinion from a coin professional in your area. It's possible to post an image on this forum, but don't ask me! My Mac doesn't even have the slot to insert a memory stick. It would be so easy if I just had my old PC back. By the way, Welcome to RealCent! Kirkland
Although sounds like post mintage damage of some kind, a photo would be of some help. Also, for pennies, try You must be logged in to see this link. The reason is you can talk to a guy that specializes in just those coins.
