What else can I say?......people are starting to wake up...but... to late.
We have sold to foreign countries not only the knowlege but also the machines needed to make something to export. ==============================================================
For the first decade of the 21st century, the U.S. economy has been able to create net new jobs only in domestic nontradable services, such as waitresses, bartenders, sales, health and social assistance and, prior to the real estate collapse, construction. These jobs are lower paid than the jobs were that have been offshored, and these jobs do not produce goods and services for export.
Jobs offshoring has increased the U.S. trade deficit, putting more pressure on the dollar’s role as reserve currency. When offshored goods and services return to the U.S., they add to imports, thus worsening the trade imbalance.

100% correct. Sadly, we aint exporting JACK until our currency drops significantly.
The politicians, lobbyist and bueracrats (sp?) who greased the skids for the wholesale exporting of our industrial base should all be tried, torutured and sh.. in the head for treason. Hey, just one mans opinion, not an actual suggestion.

Every day I see more and more comments about the export situation, all that I can say is that even if they are waking up now it is to late to do anything about it......the younger generations who used to take over the machines of their fathers no longer exist (may as well be dead) so that the know how will also disappear.
As a matter of fact.......those who are part of the "Think Tank" of government and Colleges are so scared of this that they have came up with the "Rosetta Disk" each disk contains hundred and hundred of books that will be readable just about for ever.
If you are a barber = teach your kids......a plummer? = teach your kids......a carpenter? = teach your kids........your kid wants to be a banker? = shoot him.
At home classes can be formed to teach to those who wants to learn something and in exchange the fathers of the kids can perform some kind of work for you. I like to think ahead of time and I do have many ideas with which life would be easier for those who wants to live it.

I agree Ponce. I see a whole generation of young people who might as well be wandering off in the desert for all their lives are amounting too. No trade, no job with a future. For some it's their own fault because they are spoiled and lazy. But for most it is because the few jobs that are left are held by older workers who are afraid to retire. So the young people don't have a chance at a productive life. I have never seen so many young people entering the military as I see now. What else can they do except sell drugs? |

With no kids learning the trade from the older workers that means that that particular job has a good chance of going into the Twilight Zone.
The jobs fifty years from now will be nothing like what we have today.....and please don't compared fifty years ago to now because this is a new world. |

We also just happen to be spreading conflict around the world at this time.
How convenient...
