We are more than 1/12 of the way through 2010 and today I finally find my THIRD 2009 US Quarter--District of Columbia P mint mark. What a strange year, for coins, 2009 was in the USofA!!!
Just had to let you all know since most of you are aware of how I have been struggling to find any 2009 coins for the kids' anniversary coin jar. What a fun challenge this has become!
I've found many 2009 quarters, mostly District of Columbia and US Virgin Islands. The LP4 pennies, 2009 dimes, and 2009 nickels are the coins I have not yet found.
Yea people are holding to them I guess. The only Quarters I have found are the DC ones. Still need the dimes, Nics and LP4. We will get some of the 2010 coins before we get all of the 09's I think!
I had a 09 nickel earlier this year but didn't know it was rare and left it in the car. My mom probably spent it. I have had over $50 of LP3-P but no LP4s.
