Mixed feelings. Very interesting, yes. But stealing fruits and squatting in buildings. UK squatting law would be a headache; imagine finding other folks in your vacation home with a legal right based on parking themselves there without permission. She tries to take a high moral ground and promote her adventure as a less wasteful lifestyle, but in fact it's an artificial one, made possible only by the abundance of city dwellers, agricultural produce, and industry. Impossible for everyone to live that way, obviously. Kind of an urban human rat lifestyle. So yes it's a valid survival story, but not really a great "eureka" moment.

A legitimate no-money society, using trade, would be neat though.

That's not a dollar, mate...THIS is a dollar.

I was thinking of the social implications of multiple generations growing up with that lifestyle. Is this the start of a permanent underclass?
