does anyone else get severe dry cracking fingers from digging in the pennies....My hands get very sore and cracked....i found some stuff called "working hands" comes in a little green container, more of a past then a lotion, I have only used it 3 times but so far I am very impressed. Does anyone else have this problem and if so what do you use to help it?

Where else on a cow would you get cream from? Hehe....

Ya'll are sorting pennies? Ya'll are weird.

I always seem to split my finger open under the nail. I then have to wear a bandage. I think that any hand lotion would work. The key is to put it on often, but we are big tough men and we don't need any stinking lotion.

Trying to make yourself sound like a tough man? Hows that working out for ya? HEHE

My hands don't get sore or crack when working with coin. However, when I wrap coin the cardboard boxes cut up my hands though and I use some utter balm like thogey mentioned. It works wonders!

I don't know if any of you will actually do this. But some people will actually apply hand lotion and wear a gloves at night. This way you can have it keep your skin from drying out for the entire night. I don't use hand cream, but i do notice my finger tips becoming cracked in the dryer months.

I would wear gloves when you do your penny stuff, this may prevent your fingers from getting worse, and certainly reduce any potential infection you might risk from touching all that dirty money. And while your at moisturize often.

Zim's Crack Cream??? I can't go there.

Got this tip from working with gymnists who are always getting splits, and rips on their fingers and hands from using chalk to keep their grip and doing crazy stuff on the bars and rings: The product is Bag Balm (similar to the cow udder stuff above and avaliable at your local feedstore) put on hands at night under a pair of cotton gloves to keep the goop on the hands and off the sheets.

I keep a can of it (green with a picture of a cow on it) in the training room for the athletes. Currently being used by a basketball player who claims it's from the constant contact with the rim. His real problem is dry hands during winter and a SUPERSIZE ego.

Udder balm is a wonder type salve that is good for your hands. It can also be used for injuries of the skin. Thousands of cows can't be wrong.

I've not had this problem. I guess I should sort more?

Ok, I feel like I'm in a beauty salon listening to the girls.... but, I'm secure in my manhood. I wear gloves a lot of the time, but you can't do everything with gloves on. So, I put lots of lotion on my hands while I'm were the gloves and that seems to help when I can't wear gloves the rest of the time. Ok girls.... I was thinking about some stars on my nails this week what do you think.....?

I don't have a severe problem with this, even though I am a hand sorter who sorts through large quantities of pennies. My hands and fingers get very dirty, black, and grimy, so I have to invest in many bottles of soap. I'm wondering if I should start wearing gloves from now on?
