I recently found a 1969 D silver / chrome shiny penny. I am not sure if it is coated or what. It looks like a normal penny, but has a shiny silver/chrome color to it. Anybody ever see one of these?

I found about 7 I think in a batch once. I remeber thinking they were too shiny and wasn't "right" for silver plate.

In the plating shop i used to work we would nickel plate pennies all the time. Just another way to screw around at work.

I just found a 1972-D that looks like zinc or steel, but weighs 3.1 grams, thought for a moment I had something but someone was probably just goofing around
