i did a bank run yesterday. there is a small credit union i hit every few weeks. well for the second time in a row. he did not call me, and i show up 2 days late for his shipping coin out.
there are two tellers. one was new. she said, i have a 1962 dime. it is what you are looking for , right.

she actually let me have it. nice kid.
I take it she was younger? Most younger people are clueless what stuff is worth. I doubt she even knew it was silver.
I stop at banks & ask for halves when I have a chance. Last week I had a teller say I only have two, do you want them? One was 40% silver. Nice teller, clueless, but nice.
Nice. At my favourite silver bank a teller once sold me a 1967 centennial silver dime when I mentioned I was looking for silver. He knew it was silver but he was happy enough to sell it to me for face value. There was more silver in the box I bought from him so it was a pretty good day.
