I'd be okay with the high interest rate, if the card had 0 annual fees and came with amazing bonuses or offers. But that's pretty stiff, i feel bad for the folks that see this card as their only choice when it comes to choosing plastic.

I spotted a news story today on this card. They are getting around a 2% response rate from mailings compared to a normal response closer to 1%. It is a very popular card it seems.

For the people who need this card, it is obviously better than the alternatives they have in life, so this card is a good thing. What is not good are the regulations forced upon credit card companies that have brought them to such high interest rates, which could never persist in a free market.
