It's been awhile since I've been on here, I used to do a lot with copper cents over a year ago.. I worked in one financial institution and moved to another after my hobby of collecting coins didn't go over so well with someone above me. This new institution however is working out quite nicely I must say, and here is why:
I found $95.25 (face value) in silver quarters yesterday and today while going through a bag of quarters from a coin machine at my branch.. You do the math I did however give $10 (face value) to my immediate boss for allowing me to sort through the bag, but it's still a hefty profit for doing nothing but knowing what others don't
Net profit if sold today at the price of silver: $1,002.59

I hope for your sake he doesn't decide to cut you out next time. (seeing he now knows what others don't)
Nice score though...

I thought about that, but when he hired me I explained my fascination with currency, coins specifically. He didn't seem to mind, he actually told me he couldn't care less about the value of a coin other than the face value of course. So I just did that and told him to keep it and someday give it to his first child he's about to have. |

Welcome back. Glad to hear you found a more understanding place to work. Congrats on the great silver score! Didn't I buy some copper cents off you back in the old days to add to the hoard? |

Don't be surprised if he comes to you at a later date wanting to sell you the silver. If he truly doesn't care, he will remember you giving it to him and when he is ready to unload it, you will be the 1st to know.
