Found my second Canadian George V, a 1932, in a CWR. Problem is that it looks like someone cleaned it with vinegar or something. Any way to bring back some naturally aged look to it? Just leave it out in the rain? I want to hold on to it for my Canadian cent collection, but it is so un-aesthetic.
It is very difficult to restore the natural color on cleaned copper coins.
I have been able to bring back the natural color by placing a copper coin in one of my boots, and wearing it for a day. The perspiration from my foot, and the materials in the boot toned it to a chocolate brown color.
