My math is fuzzy this morning. How many troy ounces of silver is in this auction?

47.52 is the melt value when Silver is 18.45

Thanks. I was looking at random Ebay auctions to seize up the interest in silver. The market seems focused on the ASEs as far as bidding frenzy could go. Once I see junk silver lots or the like getting premiums like the ASEs do, then I'll take that as a saturation point for demand.

I see a lot of 90% getting more than melt. but the seller gets hit with so many fees that they wind up getting a lot less than melt.

that guy's scale is off those two bars are one troy ounce each 31.1 grams = 62.2, plus two quarters another 12.5grams, plus three dimes another 3.75grams, total equals 78.75grams. Divide by 28.35grams for avordupois it's only 2.77 ounces avordupois! It's only 2.53 oz troy, but he's leading you on to think it's half an ounce more. He gets people to overbid this way and they're paying 15.6% too much. Never buy from a guy who sells ounces of silver and doesn't tell you they aren't troy ounces.

Hoard now and hold on!
