Not sure if you noticed the jobs report was stronger than what they expected.

I was watching CNBC this AM and they were saying that the true unemployment rate should be around 17% not the 10% that is quoted.
I would also expect that the job market would be stronger this time of the year because of seasonal work for Christmas. Maybe once the holidays are over the jobs picture will not be as positive.
Do you think this "improvement" in the job picture is temporary and the subsequent strengthening of the dollar is temporary?

Yep, the experts were projecting job losses of 125,000 jobs, but it came in at only 11,000.
You wonder why the projection missed by so much. The precise numbers are derived from mathematical models. Then, in a month or so you read how earlier numbers were revised.
Seasonal hiring for the holidays is a factor. After the holidays the jobs number always drops. |

| I dont see anything positive about the dollar, personally. I heard one of the arguments on CNBC is that the dollar is strengthening vs other foreign currencies because we aren't as invested in places like Dubai as the Europeans. Sounded like to me that the dollar was getting a temporary title of "best of a bad lot" |
