if anyone wants to sell pm me.
you need to have an exit strategy in mind today so you don't miss the top.
the top is a function of both time and price.
i'll start lightening when silver is 50 bucks, more aggressively at 100.
famous traders say to let your winners run and sell the losers. but when it starts to go parabolic, when every idiot is lining up to buy pm's, thats when you need to get out quick.
i think we are close to a temporary top but the bull market has several years to run. |
Buying: Peace/Morgan G+ at $15.00 copper cents at 1.3X wheat pennies at 3X

I see the day when the Dow, gold and silver all cross at the same price. A median priced home will once again cost some 500-800 ounces of silver- perfect. |
The first panacea for a mismanaged nation is inflation of the currency; second is war. Both bring a temporary (and false) prosperity; both bring a permanent ruin. But both are the refuge of political and economic opportunities. |

Lemon that's quite the prediction. So if silver never gets above 30 bucks, are you just going pass the bullion on to your decendants? |

I will sell my PMs when there is another asset, investment or need that I value more. My approach to investing is simple; sell any over-valued assets you have in exchange for under-valued assets. Of course the trick is recognizing the true value of an investment well before the masses do. |

well i'm not really qualified to make predictions, so don't read more into that than i intended. yeah, i think the numbers could go crazy high. i didn't buy my pm's to flip them but you have to have a plan.
it all depends on timing.
silver and gold are the inverse of the dollar. i'm not too worried about them not going up, worried more about them going up too fast, the economy collapsing, etc.
silver could go to 100 and we could all be poorer if we don't have jobs, the u.s. cant get oil, etc. so i would rather it go up slow. another benefit is that will allow me to accumulate more.
if silver goes to 30 but we have hyperinflation, you are still ahead with silver.
anyway, back to timing. silver and gold are starting to go parabolic. this is usually when you have a pullback. but i think 50 is very likely eventually. may be several years. i hope so.
the timing that really matters is the stage of the bull market. google this. casey has published some stuff on this, not sure if its public domain. basically there is stealth, wall of worry, and mania. we are in wall of worry. mania is close. mania is the most gains but is the shortest lived. mania is when its cool to own gold and silver, everyone is doing it, there are lines at coin shops, etc. the price will collapse when there is no one left to sell to.
jim sinclair is a gold legend. his prediction is a min. of 1600 by jan 2011. he also predicts there will be a new dollar tied to gold, sort of. his point is, this time gold wont' go down.
still, a mania is possible and you have to have an eye on the exits. pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered. i dont' want to miss the bull market but i'm going to take some off the table at some point. maybe enough to pay my mortgage or something. i'll do it slowly.
anyway, i would really like to buy some more so i shouldn't let on about my optimism. i really think the price is going to crash to at least the 50 day moving average very soon, its overdue for a correction.
